The resources compiled in this page highlight the International Organization for Migration's (IOM) ongoing work in Ghana through situation reports, newsletters, and a variety of relevant publications related to migration. It also includes other IOM global resources.
In line with objective one of the Global Compact for Migration (GCM), developing evidence-based policies, strategies and operations to harness the development potential inherent in migration and minimize its adverse effects is central to the achievement of IOM Ghana’s country strategy.
The Government of Ghana already has developed a National Migration Data Management Strategy (2017) which forms the basis for reinforcing data collection and information management systems in all the targeted thematic areas of intervention.
IOM Ghana also reinforces the government’s and other stakeholders’ capacity in coordinating migration data management.
All measures undertaken are based on ensuring that data is collected in line with global ethical standards, including the respect of the right to privacy and the protection of vulnerable persons
